Inside Jenna Bush Hager

Jenna Bush Hager has given a behind-the-scenes look at her impeccably decorated new home, from her cozy fireplaces and packed bookshelf to her wallpapered dining room and piano.

The Today host reportedly moved to Connecticut’s Fairfield County with her husband, Henry Hager, and their three children — Mila, nine, Poppy, seven, and Hal, three — after listing their New York City condo for $5.375 million last spring.

Bush Hager, 41, took to Instagram on Sunday to share photos from the cozy weekend she spent at home with her best friend, ceramic artist Laird Gough, and her husband, Ross Gough.

'Scenes from a freezing weekend with my [heart],' she captioned the images.

The mother of three has yet to publicly confirm she is living in Connecticut, though her family's most recent holiday card paid tribute to their 'new stomping ground.'

Jenna Bush Hager, 41, revealed the inside of her new home in Connecticut in a series of Instagram photos, including her stunning black and white dining room

The impeccably decorated room features black and white floral wallpaper and a striped rug underneath her mahogany dining table

Bush Hager's post marks the first time she has given fans a glimpse of the inside of the property, which she moved into sometime last year.

The first image is a snapshot of her family's new cat , Hollywood 'Holly' Hager, sitting in front of their roaring fireplace.

An octagon-shaped mirror hangs above the mantel, which is decorated with small vases of various shapes, and the wall surrounding the fireplace is covered in wallpaper.

There is a cozy chair in the corner of the room, next to a white built-in bookshelf — a must-have for the Read with Jenna founder, who recently launched her own production company, Thousand Voices.

The following shot captures Bush Hager and her husband playing cards with the Goughs at a small table in the corner of the piano room, which features a textured cream rug.

Four framed prints are displayed on the wall next to them, and they are  seated in front of a glass and wood door that leads to what looks like a sunroom with a tile floor. The date stamp on the image says 2/4/98.

Another image of Bush Hager's son, Hal, playing the piano while their cat stands underneath it looks like it was taken on the opposite side of the room.

The same black and white style prints are displayed on the wall behind the piano, and there are large windows flanked by long curtains that are pushed open, revealing the trees that surround their property.

Another sweet photo of Hal in the house shows Laird, a Virginia native who is now based in New York City, reading him a bedtime story

Bush Hager's daughter Poppy, seven, is pictured jumping on a cream sofa in the living room with another little girl, who is likely the Goughs' daughter

The little boy is wearing his pajamas and sitting on her lap as he turns the pages of the book. Laird is leaning against a dark wood dresser that is topped with a white and blue ceramic lamp, an acrylic framed photo, and a large globe.

The mirror hanging above the dresser captures the reflection of the artwork that is hanging on the wall across the room.

The pièce de résistance of the Hager family's home is undoubtedly their gorgeous dining room thanks to its chic black and white floral wallpaper.

Fans gushed about the 'amazing' wallpaper in the comments and curiously tried to figure out where it was from.

Bush Hager decided to play with mixed prints in the room and paired the floral motif with a black and white striped rug.

A crystal chandelier hangs above the mahogany dining room table, which is surrounded by her set of Chippendale-style chairs that were painted white for the move.

A snapshot of the two couples seated together was taken after dinner while they posed with their black and white fabric napkins crumbled next to them.

A large painting is hanging behind them, and there is a cream coffee table with a lamp off to the side of the couch.

The gold and glass coffee table is topped with two coffee table books, 'A Touch of Style' by Carlos Mota and 'Bunny Williams' Point of View: Three Decades of Decorating Chic and Comfortable Houses.'

Bush Hager went with a whole new aesthetic, including updated furniture, when she designed the interior of her Connecticut home.

The animal print couch and red armor that were standout pieces in her former living room were not seen in any of the images, though it's possible that they are tucked away somewhere else on the property.

The former first daughter stopped posting photos that were taken inside her Tribeca condo back in April, around the time the property hit the market.

The back features a heartwarming snapshot of Mila and Poppy kissing their little brother, Hal, who is sitting between them on a large rock.

The Hagers also own a Long Island cottage with an open-air pool, where they like to spend their summers.

Both their beach house and former condo were decorated by Dallas-based interior designer Traci White, who was Bush Hager's college roommate at the University of Texas.

'There was something about it that reminded me of Texas, of being outside. Even this close to the city, there was a remoteness to it,' Bush Hager told Veranda of their beach house in 2019

The old friends presumably collaborated for a third time on her new home in Connecticut, but only pictures of her former condo are featured on White's Instagram feed.

Bush Hager opened up about her beloved North Shore beach house in an interview with Veranda in 2019, which featured images of the property.

She said they had rented in the area for about five or six summers and fell in love with the cottage during an open house.

'There was something about it that reminded me of Texas, of being outside. Even this close to the city, there was a remoteness to it,' she told the magazine.

When designing the home's interior, Bush Hager took old pieces from both her and her husband's families and reupholstered them, including a 20th-century sofa from her side and a pair of wingbacks from the Hagers.

'Jenna and her mother [former First Lady Laura Bush] enjoy considering pieces individually, in finding beauty in what’s there,' White told Veranda. 'It’s never about "new, new, new."'

The article was published roughly three years before the Hagers relocated to Connecticut, but she seemed to hint that they would one day leave New York City.

In the interview, Bush Hager spoke of her love of the great outdoors and how she imagined her three children having their own backyard to run around in barefoot.

'There’s something magnificent about sitting under there with your friends and kids watching the rain,' she said. 'You’re outdoors and you’re barefoot. It’s how Henry and I grew up, and it’s what we want for our children.'
