Heritage Auctions Tiffany, Lalique and Art Glass on October 28th: including Art Nouveau and Art Deco auctions, adding luster to the cover of the catalog.

Among the 424 lots in the auction, the rare Loetz Argus glass vase (estimated value: US$10,000-15,000) designed by Koloman Moser was selected as the cover of the auction catalog.

“The catalog covers of our upcoming Tiffany, Lalique and Art Glass auctions are obvious,” said Samantha Robinson, director of consignment art for decorative arts and design.

"Designed by Kolomon Moser, Kolomon Moser is a participant of the Vienna Conference Movement and the co-founder of Wiener Werkstätte. The Loetz Argus glass vase is one of the best examples of this rare and important model that will be launched. It is in the eyes of one person. It was made by a keen shopper after an accidental discovery in a thrift store in the Pacific Northwest. On October 28th, it will cross the auction area and open a new chapter in its extraordinary story."

The Loetz Argus glass vase is decorated with metal "oil spots" and silver-blue thread ornaments, decorated with rich maroon shading, and uses Moser's iconic three golden spherical feet, demonstrating the company's artistic and technical prowess. Two dozen batches of Bohemian glass from Loetz and his contemporaries in the region (including Moser, Harrach, Kralik and Rindskopf) also joined the ranks.

"Our French embossed glass is probably the most powerful choice we have ever offered, a few early examples headed by Émile Gallé’s Art Nouveau craftsmanship and extremely rare museum-quality'Lake Como' landscape vases. "Heritage Auctions Special Collection Senior Vice President Nick Dawes said. "Fans of modern Daum will taste the'pate-de-verre' choice of art."

The European glass selection in this auction also includes French masterpieces, including:

In addition to mainland glass masterpieces, the auction also displays bronze sculptures and ceramics from France and Central Europe, which are also the epitome of Art Nouveau and Art Deco movements in the early 20th century.

Highlights of mainland sculpture and decorative arts include:
