17 Beer Events Brewing in Milwaukee This Week: Oct. 5-9

A fish boil, Oktoberfest celebrations, and a beer and candy pairing are just a few of the beer events happening this week.

Burlington’s Low Daily Brewing is coming to Ray’s Growler Gallery (8930 W. North Ave.). Meet the owners and try a few of their beers from 4 to 10 p.m.

New Barons Brewing Co-op (2018 S. 1st St.) celebrates the end of summer by releasing Don’t Hassle the Hefehoff. If you’re a brewery production staffer in the Milwaukee area, one pint of the hefeweizen is on the house.

It’s the release of 1840 Brewing Company’s Creepfunk Haze, a double dry-hopped IPA. Presale begins Friday at 9 a.m.

They’re pairing beer with Halloween candy at The Tap Yard Waukesha (1150 W. Sunset Dr.) starting at 5 p.m. Snickers with a New Holland Dragon’s Milk? Yes, please.

The Plant & Sip Succulent Bar returns to The Tap Yard Brookfield (2925 N. Barker Rd.) but as a seasonal twist you can choose either a standard glass terrarium or a ceramic pumpkin as the home for you greenery. Cost is $60 and includes a beverage while you plant.

Discount Liquor Milwaukee (5031 W. Oklahoma Ave.) is pouring barrel-aged beer samples from Boulevard Brewing from 3 to 6 p.m.

Vennture Brew Co. (5519 W. North Ave.) hosts OK Toberfest starting at 1 p.m. Expect stein hoisting, beer releases, food by Kegel’s Inn and all sorts of fun. Vennture will be offering two Oktoberfest-style beers, and one of them is made with Guatemalan coffee.

There’s a Fall Block Party going on at Enlightened Brewing Company (2020 S. Allis St.). Music, barbecue and plenty of pours of The Imperative Pale Ale are on the schedule.

Layman Brewing (6001 W. Madison St.) is having a traditional fish boil and releasing bottles of Honey Moon Quad. Tickets to the event are $20. Bottles of the special release will be available for $20.

The release party for 1840’s Creepfunk Haze IPA (see above) is at Regner Park (800 N. Main St., West Bend) from noon to 5 p.m.

Hacienda Beer Co. (2018 W. North Ave.) is releasing Time Is An Illusion, a hazy double IPA.

Fermentoberfest is happening at The Fermentorium (7481 WI-60 Trunk, Cedarburg). A live polka band will be there from noon to 4 p.m., and food will be provided by The Smokin’ C’s BBQ.

Family Fun Day comes back to The Tap Yard Waukesha at 1 p.m. A bounce house, face painting and games will keep the kids busy.

The Tap Yard Brookfield is pouring some rarities during Stout Day. Try the dark brews from 1 to 8 p.m.

It’s Taco Truck Day at The Tap Yard West Bend (4875 County Rd. Z). Several food trucks will be on hand to provide tacos to pair with a great beer list.

WAAGtoberfest at Black Husky Brewing (909 E. Locust St.) gives patrons the chance to meet some friendly golden retrievers and raise money for Wisconsin Adopt a Golden Retriever. Be there from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m. to enjoy beer, dogs and food from Smoke Ring BBQ and Arepa’s Place.

Head to Third Space Brewing (1505 W. St. Paul Ave.) for Yoga in Your Third Space, a 75-minute yoga session followed by a beverage reward. Cost to sign up is $23.
