BEHIND THE SCENES – VOL. 6 – CLOTHING LINKS, BEST SELLERS, AND CHRISTMAS DECOR - 50 IS NOT OLD

Life as a blogger can be hectic. Those who are in the greenhouse industry will understand what I mean. They have a “busy” season during the summer, and as a blogger, my busy season is in full swing. That means Joe is having to fend for himself when it comes to food, and we eat a lot of pre-prepared meals. It also means that

you’ll be seeing more sponsored posts than usual. Because it is the holiday season, all the retailers want to make sure that you’re seeing their new arrivals. I’m blessed that I get to pick and choose who I want to work with, and I only work with brands that I think you will like and will benefit you in some way. I turn down hundreds of offers a week, and I hope you like the ones that I choose to work with.

The economy is taking a toll on a lot of households, and I like bringing you ways to save money whenever I can. The post I did on Rakuten might have seemed strange since it wasn’t a “fashion” post, but it is a service I use all the time, and it does save you money. Several of you emailed me asking for the links to the clothing that was in that post, so I’m including those today.

Another way I want to make your holidays a little brighter is by doing weekly giveaways. Each Saturday until the end of the year, I will be giving away TWO $50 Amazon Giftcards. To enter the giveaway, you must live in the US, OR you must have a PayPal account. Since I’m in the US, I can’t buy Amazon Giftcards for other countries, but I can send a $50 payment by PayPal, and you can buy it for yourself.

Entering the giveaways is easy…I’ll be randomly (Alexa) picking the winners from the comments left on the posts throughout the week. The more posts you comment on, the greater your chances are of winning. Each week will run from Saturday through Friday. A winner will be announced each Saturday, and the giveaway will start all over again. Good Luck to all of you!

This outfit generated a lot of interest, and I can understand why. This is one of my favorite outfits that I’ve worn this fall, probably because I LOVE a chunky sweater. Cable-knit sweaters are my favorite, and this Camel Cable Sweater is beautiful. I had a hard time deciding between the camel and ivory sweaters, but I like how the camel looks with my hair and skin tone. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me great.

I already had these Low-Rise Bootcut Jeans in a lighter color. (See them here) I wanted to get the darker color also, and I wanted to try a smaller size since I felt the light version was too roomy. These are a size 28/6, and they fit better. I like my jeans to fit tighter, so sizing down worked for me. If you like a loose fit, then order your usual size.

The tobacco brown Leather Classic Tote is a good size if you like larger bags as I do. I love the pebbled leather and the deep chocolate brown color; they both make the bag look very luxurious. The tote comes in black and mineral, but the brown color is my pick.

These Low-Rise Wide-Leg Jeans are at a great price. Even though they are calling these two jeans “low-rise,” they aren’t low like you are used to seeing. They are just lower than the high-rise jeans that are trending. I actually prefer this rise for my torso, so I’m glad to see this style as an option. I’m wearing a 29/8 in these jeans, and I can’t tell if they are loose on me or if it is the wide-leg style. Lol! I know the jeans would look better with a slimmer-fitting top or one that is tucked, but I couldn’t wait to show you the sweater.

Calling all you soft, cozy, and cuddly lovers!!! You are going to LOVE this unbelievably soft sweater!!! I like the casual style of the sweater, and I will wear this on repeat this fall and winter. This is a Barefoot Dreams Half Zip Tunic Sweater, and as the saying goes, “if you know, you know!” I thought Barefoot Dreams was just an overpriced sweater until I broke down and tried my first one. OH, MY WORD! My sister is probably still calling me names for introducing her soft, cozy, and cuddly loving daughter to this brand. At least she knows something to include on her daughter’s Christmas list each year. I’m wearing a medium, and it fits me to perfection.

It won’t be long before I put up my Christmas Tree. I know that most of you are going to wait until after Thanksgiving or even later. But, because of the “photos” I’ll need to take with my Christmas decor and tree, I’ll need to have everything I need earlier. So, while I was busy shopping for Christmas Decor from Amazon, I decided to share items I have in my cart.

Battery Operated LED Window Candles with Flickering Amber Flame – I bought some battery candles last year, but I wasn’t happy with them, so I’m trying these instead. They have a lot of great reviews, so I’m ordering three sets for all my windows.

Christmas Tree Collar – Do you have one of these tree collars for your tree? They are so popular, but I couldn’t figure out how to use one last year. Lol! I’m ordering the gold one (I use gold and bronze for my tree) to try this year. This collar comes in a lot of styles, including raffia, Santa’s belt, drum pattern, etc.

Pre-Lit Artificial Christmas Garland – I made the mistake of ordering garlands last year that weren’t pre-lit. As Pretty Woman would say, “Big Mistake…Huge!” This one is 9 feet long, which is great for fireplaces, doors, and stair rails. I’m going to order two of them to frame my front door with this year.

Set of 9 Assorted Gold Glass Ball Ornaments – I love mercury ball ornaments. I have some red ones, and I’m getting these in gold to go with my existing ornaments.

Set of 3 Christmas Lighted Gift Boxes – I had a couple of sets of these in red that I loved. But I need them in Warm White to go with the rest of my decor. I plan on using them on my front steps or under the tree. I’ll decide that once they arrive.

Decorative Cow Bell with Jute Hanging Rope  – Did you know that I used to collect bells? I still have my bell collection, but I haven’t collected any additional bells in years. I’m going to hang these bells in the wreath on my front door.

Set of 8, Real Wax Battery Operated LED Candles with Flickering Flame and Timer – I have these in ivory, but I love these golden ones.

Lenox Holiday Ornament Cookie Jar – Isn’t this Ornament Cookie Jar gorgeous??? I think it would look nice beside my coffee pot, and since cookies go great with coffee, I think it will be the perfect spot for it.

36-in. Mountain Pine Flocked Wreath with Battery-Operated LED Lights – I love this Flocked Wreath with led lights. It will look great on my front door with the bells.

Spode Christmas Tree Sculpted Octagonal Platter – I was thinking about this Christmas Tree platter for putting out a cheeseball with crackers around it. I love a nibbling platter out while I’m trying to cook our dinner. It keeps the guests satisfied and from getting hangry.

Pre-Lit Snow Flocked Artificial Holiday Christmas Pine Tree – Guess who bought a gorgeous flocked tree last year without lights??? Another big mistake on my part.

18pcs Christmas Tree Decoration Crystal Ornaments – These crystal ornaments look beautiful, and I love adding crystal to my tree to reflect the lights.

Magnolia, Pine, and Berry Holiday Arrangement in Glass Vase – Small arrangements like this are perfect for small tables, bathrooms, or guest rooms. They add a touch of holiday cheer without taking up a lot of space.

Ivory White Knit Christmas Stockings – I love seeing stockings hanging on the mantle. I can’t tell if these will be large enough, but ordering them is the only way to know for sure.

Watercolor Christmas Tree Throw Pillow Cover Cushion Case – Festive pillows make a huge difference. I love adding pillows like this to the white bedding in my bedrooms. I used to put up Christmas trees in all the bedrooms, but this is much easier!
