Brothers Big Sisters of Henderson County is thrilled to announce the return of A Taste of the Vineyard on Oct. 6 at Point Lookout Vineyards, 408 Appleola Rd., Hendersonville.

Guests will experience a delightful evening with all proceeds benefiting Big Brothers Big Sisters of Henderson County. The evening begins at 6 p.m. and features delicious food by Amanda’s Catering and a complimentary first glass of wine. Dessert will be provided courtesy of Nothing Bundt Cakes and The Fresh Market. Along with enjoyable food and wine, music will be played by Granny’s Mason Jar. There will also be an opportunity to bid on items during a silent auction.

The silent auction is live now and will close at 8 p.m. Oct. 6. Items up for auction include vacation getaways to Wilmington, Charlotte, and Oak Island. There are gift cards to local breweries, shops such as Homestead Linens, B.B. Barns, and Joseph Laughter Clothier. Looking for an adventure? Place a bid on a half day of fly fishing with DB bar D Outfitters, a tubing trip for two through Zen Tubing, a rafting trip at Nantahala Outdoor Center, or an apiary beehive tour and honey tasting for two with Honeybee Bliss. In addition to experiences and gift cards there are also several local items for yourself or would make a great gift for the holidays.

Wag! has provided a fun dog and cat gift bag. There are beautiful pieces of handmade pottery by local artists, Green Mountain Pure Maple Syrup, jewelry by Diamond Rush, a basket of goodies by Raspberry Fields, a Charlotte Hornets Fan bundle, Burst Dental Care packages, and much more! You do not have to be present at the event to bid on items, simply visit our website and select the Bidders Only Package to begin bidding.

Each year our event would not be possible without our committed sponsors. We are grateful for Point Lookout Vineyards for continuing to host BBBS at its beautiful venue. Our 2022 platinum sponsors include Margo Barbee at Beverly-Hanks Realtors and Levi Industrial. Thank you to our silver sponsors, Mills River Family Dental, Homestead Linens, Hendersonville Family Dental, and Charlotte Shepard with Keller-Williams Realty. Finally, our bronze sponsor is Henderson Oil Company and Burlett Painting. It’s not too late to join in and support our mission of igniting the power and promise in youth through sponsorship. For more information on sponsorship opportunities reach out to Program Coordinator, Erin Erickson at erine@bbbswnc.org.

Tickets to the event are available now through Sept. 29 on our website at https://www.bbbswnc.org/event-directory/ or https://secure.qgiv.com/event/totv2022/. General admission is $75 and young professionals under 40 admission is $60. Ticket admission includes dinner, one glass of wine, networking opportunities, and access to the silent auction.
