ANN ARBOR, MI -- Autumn colors may be just starting to peek through trees’ greenery, but fall is officially here, and that means it’s time for cider.

Ann Arbor offers a variety of both hard and non-alcoholic ciders brewed or milled locally. So whether you’re looking for a fall-inspired happy hour or a kid-friendly pairing for doughnuts, check out these great Ann Arbor places for cider.

Although Bakehouse46, 116 E. Liberty St., serves up coffee and cupcakes, the bakery also features cider and doughnuts from Blake’s Orchard and Cider Mill. The non-alcoholic cider is served in a 12-ounce glass, by the half-gallon or the gallon.

Best known for its locally-brewed mead, Bløm Meadworks, 100 S. Fourth Ave., Suite 110, offers a rotating selection of house-brewed hard ciders.

Options include a Pear Ginger Cider featuring Michigan apples and pears fermented with ginger and the Perry Saison with Bosc pear.

Bløm Meadworks is open 4 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, noon to 10 p.m. Saturday and 2 to 7 p.m. Sunday. Find the meadery online, on social media or by phone at 734-548-9729.

HOMES Brewery has just one cider choice on its menu – a house cider by Michigan-based Tandem Ciders. The hard cider is available both in an 8-ounce portion, as well as by the bottle and growler.

HOMES Brewery, 2321 Jackson Ave., is open 4 to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday. Find the brewery online, on social media or by phone at 734-954-6637.

Although Townies Brewery, 2350 W. Liberty St., mostly serves beer, it does feature a singular hard cider. Snow White’s Addiction is a dry cider, served alongside seltzers and a variety of other brews.

Townies Brewery is open 4 to 10 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, 4 to 11 p.m. Thursday, 4 p.m. to midnight Friday, noon to midnight Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Find the brewery online, on social media or by phone at 734-355-2827.

Argus Farm Stop is serving cider at both its locations starting Oct. 1. The non-alcoholic cider, sourced from Kapnick Orchards, is $2.75 for a small glass and $3.50 for a large glass.

Argus Farm Stop has café locations at 1200 Packard St. and 325 W. Liberty St. The Liberty Street location is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily, while the Packard Road location is open 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
