OFTEN melted in beautifully blown glass, candles not only emit fresh fragrances but add style to any room.

Instead of chucking the finished containers, DIYer Brooke Styles suggested ways you can repurpose candle holders and use them around the house.

Brooke posted a TikTok demonstrating just a few ways you can recycle candle jars once you finish them.

But before reusing them, you should always soak and wash out all remnants of the candle wax.

According to Better Homes & Gardens, you can fill the container with boiling water or warm water and let it sit in there to melt any remaining wax.

Another way: "Put in a drain stopper and fill your sink with warm water. Remove the lid, if it has one, and let the open candle jar sit in the sink for 30 minutes."

You can also put the candle in the freezer to shrink the wax or place them in the oven upside down at 200 degrees for 15 minutes.

There's also the option of heating the sides and bottom of the jar with a warm hair dryer.

Once you clean out the container, Brooke suggests using it as either a makeup brush or pencil holder.

Depending on the size, you can also use them as different storage containers if they have a top.

If the lids are flat, Brooke says you can use them as coasters.

But if the lids are tin, she recommends making a slit in them and using the whole container as a coin jar.

Additionally, you can pot plants in certain candle holders.

Viewers loved Brooke's clever hacks for repurposing these empty containers.

"Love this," one viewer wrote, while another suggested: "Little jars for a Lolly jar or chocolate for a present."
