I’m hosting Christmas at my house, so I built a hot cocoa bar – it only takes a few simple ingredients

THE holiday season means cold weather, family gatherings, and movie nights at home.

If you’re throwing a winter party or just hosting relatives, it’s important to make your space feel welcoming and cozy.

One woman online, named Brianna Ancheta, came up with a creative way to entertain her guests.

Everyone loves chocolate and marshmallows, so she decided to make a hot cocoa bar. And it’s really simple to do.

In the TikTok video, Brianna showed her modern acrylic bar cart: “Ok so I just built this bar cart.

“And since we’re hosting like every holiday this year, I thought it would be a good idea to make a self-serve hot cocoa bar for all of the guests.”

She revealed a kitchen counter stocked with Oreos, bags of chocolate chips, Ghirardelli sweet syrups, marshmallows, and hot cocoa powder.

Holding a can of Ghirardelli Sweet Ground Chocolate and Cocoa Powder, she said: “If you don’t like watered down hot cocoa, use this. It’s so rich and creamy.”

For the bar’s aesthetic purposes, she transferred the powder into a medium-sized, clean glass jar and placed a mini scooping spoon alongside it.

She did the same thing with a can of Ghirardelli white chocolate powder. The more options, the better.

Brianna then grabbed multiple mini glass jars and tied a pretty jute string bow around the top.

“These will be for the toppings.”

Mini marshmallows went into one small jar, butterscotch chips into another, chocolate chips into a third, and finally, some crushed candy canes into the last.

“Next I’m going to add some labels.”

She used a white permanent marker to write the names of each condiment on black labels—the contrast (and her adorable handwriting) made for an added touch.

After placing the hot cocoa jars at the back of the bar cart, the TikToker added in a two-tier tray, “to give it some height,” and placed the syrups and the toppings on the tray’s top-shelf.

Running out of time, she continued to work on her chocolate bar in a second video.

More toppings came next: ground cinnamon and nutmeg in clear glass saltshakers, hot cocoa spoons in a white ceramic mug, and cinnamon sticks in another glass jar.

Brianna’s mini chalkboard stand that said: “Hot Cocoa Bar” was a cute addition.

And finally, the cart even got its own teeny tiny Christmas tree in a tin planter. She dressed it to the nines with little string lights, hanging Starbucks ornaments, and candy canes.

Be sure to include some clean mugs so your guests will have everything they need handy!
